well, training is going ok. It's funny because as an overall experience, i have to say that the training is extremely efficient. they are processing about 300 people in 7 days, which is remarkable consisdering everything we have to do. On a day to day basis, however, it is somewhat painful. Each individual task takes FOREVER because there are so many of us trying to get it done. I have been reading a lot on my new Kindle, however, which i LOVE!!! so i haven't really minded all the waiting. it's been a while since i had several hours of uninterrupted time to just read :)
it has been soooo amazing to be able to stay with my friends this week AND as a suprise, one of the other girls from my residency class flew in for a few days! So Saioa, Tracy, and I have been having a blast catching up. It has really taken my mind off being away from cris and the girls, and has made the transition a billion times easier. i am beyond grateful for this, because i can't imagine the loneliness i would feel right now if i was all by myself in a room full of strangers everynight. Cris' Dad (Grandpa Stickley) was actually just telling me about that exact experience when he was in the Air Force...i'm trying to remember to include some of the details of my experience (like the green wool blanket!) for Grandpa Stickley for old times sake....i know you get a kick out of reminiscing about that stuff!
