The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

Vietnam Itinerary

We got 2 great emails today. One was all about Juneau, and what her schedule is. Apparently she doesn't have any teeth yet, she is eating milk and "porridge" (whatever that means!), and "She is a easy girl , easy to approach , Nga is self motivated girl , she likes hug / take her in one's arm , and she can sit"
It looks like she goes to bed around 7:30 p.m. and wakes up around 7 a.m. She gets up 1-2 times during the night.

It's so fun to read about her, and i can't wait until we actually have her home!

The next email was our itinerary for the trip. Cris will be traveling to Vietnam with his parents since i will be in Michigan with Nova.

They will be leaving Honolulu July 11th and arriving July 12th to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Saturday night will be spent in Saigon at the Park Royal Hotel. Sunday morning they will get up and fly to Danang and stay at the River Beach Resort. Monday morning they'll drive about 1 1/2 hours to the orphanage and get Juneau! Then back to the River Beach Resort. Tuesday morning will be a flight to Hanoi. I'm not sure what hotel they will be staying at in Hanoi, but i'm checking into it. The rest of the week will be spent applying for Juneau's passport, having her medical appointment, and taking care of final paperwork. There will be a lot of down time during this week to explore Hanoi! The following Wednesday (July 23) is the Visa Appointment at the U.S. Embassy. Then on Thursday, July 24th everyone flies back to Hawaii, this time with Baby Juneau!

It's going to be quite an adventure! Cris will hopefully be able to keep up the blog while they are in Vietnam. And we will definately have our webcams in action.
