The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

brownies....and a couple of cute stories

today after work the girls and i decided to whip up a batch of brownies. They love helping in the kitchen... and they especially love "lickin' the spoon" after we are done :)

I remember "lickin' the spoon" with my sister many many times when we were little girls :)
DELICIOUS!
Nova has been getting really verbal lately. she LOVES to communicate various little things with us, and is so proud of herself when we understand what she is talking about. yesterday after work we played for awhile, then ate dinner, then turned on the TV. Nova looked at the TV (an old family guy rerun), and proclaimed "This is my FAVORITE part!". ha! speaking of Family Guy (and embarrassing moments as parents), Juneau was headed in to the bathroom yesterday. She walked from the playroom through the living room and said "Hmmmm...Family Guy's on". These girls are getting too big too fast!
Nova is now 22 months, and is getting dangeriously "Two-ish" in many ways. She has started huffing around when she doesn't get her way. She has tried out saying "No" to Daddy when he corrects her....which hasn't gone over too well :) The other hilarious thing about Nova, is as much as she looks like her momma, she is her daddy through and through when it comes to her little personality. For one thing, she is a "cleaner". She likes putting away toys more than she likes playing with them. Everything has it's place, and she really really wants things in their place! It is boardering on getting a little neurotic. She had a mini-meltdown this evening before bed because she likes to put her blanket on the fireplace before bed, and i had put it on the couch. She also has her daddy's taste buds... Meat, Rice, Chocolate and Ice cream. Don't even think about putting anything green on her plate!
One other funny thing...tonight we were watching American Idol. Juneau was singing her own version of something (not quite sure what), and i asked her to be quiet for a minute so i could hear what Simon was saying. She said "Mom, I'm a REALLY GOOD singer!"
love that kid.
