ok, ok....that is a bit of an exaggeration. We got about 2 inches, max around the south part of colorado springs. We still bundled up in our winter gear (and i'm talkin' long johns, double socks, neck gaitors and all) and trecked out to explore the snow. The girls had a fantastic time making snow angels and building "snow castles".
After we played in the yard, we headed into a local park to try sledding...it was the girls' first sledding experience, and i guess you could say it was 50% successful. Juneau LOVED it. she went all together, then by herself, sitting, lying down backwards and forwards, the whole deal. Nova, however, screamed from the second we took off from the top of the hill "stop the sled! stop it! stop it! Please stop the sled!!". I thought maybe she just needed to get warmed up, so i held her kicking and screaming for a second trip down. There were many frozen tears by the time we made it to the bottom of the hill. so nova sat at the bottom of the hill and played, while juneau went over and over again.
We have of course been keeping busy around here as usual. Counting down the days until our hawaii trip ( we have 16 days left!). I have 3 job interviews and we also have to find a preschool for the girls next year.
The highlight of Nova's day is always getting to facetime with her "prince". she LOOOOVVVESSS talking to cris on the video-chat, and she can literally talk to him for over an hour. she reads him books, and he reads her books, she sings and dances, and colors and they tell stories. it's so sweet. Juneau doesn't quite have the attention span to be entertained by facetime. Unless, of course, cris is doing extreme closeups of his eyes, ears, nose and mouth. that really cracks her up!

My daughter went to St Anthony's in Kailua. It's a great school and my introverted little girl thrived there.
