some princesses...

Nova's most recent princess revelation (she has princess revelations fairly often)...
"mommy, some princess have horses, and their prince lifts them onto their horse. Some princesses have carseats, and their prince (daddy) lifts them into their carseat".
never would've thought we would be raising our very own, 100% princess.
We recently discovered Facetime on our ipod touches. as you can see, there were some very happy little girls around here. For the not-so isavvy folks, facechat is kind of like a cross between skype, and chatting on the cellphone. nova thought it was oh-so-cool to carry daddy all over the house. and she thought it was very cool that in return he could show her all the stuff she was missing in her Hawaii house (her particular requests were to see her bed, her dogs, and her potty". :)
I tried to get her to hold up the ipod so i could take a picture, but she couldn't take her eyes off the screen long enough to hold it up! ahhhhh....brussel sprouts. i know i have previously blogged about brussel sprouts (a little weird to have another brussel sprout post, i know...but i LOVE them!!). anyway, we picked up this chicken on a stick last week at costco. It is delicious. I am fully aware that i paid $12 for about $4 worth of chicken (hanging my head in shame here, and hoping my mom and my aunt shelia don't find out about this)...just for the convenience of the fact that it is precooked, and it is on a stick.....but what's a busy momma to do? anyway, i got these brussel sprouts, and instead of sauteeing them in butter and brown sugar, and then roasting them in butter and brown sugar like i did last time, i just sauteed them in a delicious mixture of olive oil, garlic, lemon, red pepper flakes, and balsamic vinager (with just a wee bit of brown sugar...i couldn't leave it out totally!). The spicy red pepper and sweet brown sugar were sooooo yummy. and they were even better the next day in my lunch.

finally, little miss nova has been kind of obsessed with "Washing the floor". I think it is her Cinderalla persona coming out. it makes a giant slippery mess, but it brings her soooo much enjoyment to fill up a cup with water (all by herself!), and then use her little sponge to totally drench the floor, and then dry it all up with a towel.

oh yeah....and10 more days til hawaii!!! :)
