pumpkin patch (hawaii style)

This is how the girls would prefer to spend every morning, if we let them! they both love computer games, and i have to really be careful to watch how much time they are playing...as you can see, nova gets pretty engrossed when it is her turn. We had planned to meet up with the gang at the pumpkin patch today! it was such a fun day! and the weather was perfect! It's always so cute the first couple of minutes when the girls all see eachother!

none of the girls were really too sure about this giant ear of corn, and giant pumpkin...melody and juneau were the only ones brave enough to get close enough for a picture!

we started off the day with a big shave ice...as you can see, juneau was quite enthusiastic, and had both the spoon and the straw in action.Melody ventured off with a $5 to buy herself an ear of corn. Juneau and Nova tagged along, and when they got back from the corn vender, all 3 girls had an ear for themselves...

delicious!!!!

Next stop was the Hay Ride....Nova said "Don't tell grandpa...it's a GREEN tractor!"

you know i'm a sucker for little girls holding hands and running around!! haha!! love these two!

next up...the bouncey house! Cris was rather proud of his "sports photography" skills, and caught juneau right in the middle of her patented move the "dupa drop"

This was Juneau and Daddy's favorite part of the day! The spinning swing ride...

every time they came around they had a new face for the camera!

finally we picked out our pumpkins...nova of course wanted the baby ones!

and these were the tired little faces we loaded into the truck after a long day at the pumpkin patch!

we absolutely had to stop for some groceries, and these two were so wiped out that they slept through the whole grocery trip! good thing nova's on the shrimpy side so she could fit into the front of the cart!

They were rejuvinated by the time we made it home, and Juneau was eager to try the coconut water from one of the coconuts from the tree in the back yard.

she was a bit dissapointed that it didn't actually taste very good!

I had another plan, however....I wanted to see if i could shred and toast my own coconut flakes...

i made a 'bit' of a mess....

but the fresh coconut was DELICIOUS when it came out of the oven!

some of the amazing starfruit from our tree....we also have 1 little lemon (the lemon tree needs some TLC!)I apparently missed pomegranite season...there are a couple of little pomegranites hanging on, but nothing really edible is left on the tree....maybe next year!
