*Sitting on the couch while Cris puts the girls to bed, and listening to him read "Little House on the Prarie" to them
*Nova's snuggles...in her very own words, her snuggles "can't be beat"
*The girls giggling and laughing hysterically to their own private inside jokes
*The pitter patter of little feet in the hall at 630 in the morning, excited to get a cuddle in with the whole family before i leave for work
It has been an amazing week with the whole family together. We have had so much to celebrate and so much to be thankful for, and we are embracing every minute.
I brought the girls into my office this week to watch the new baby on the ultrasound. I didn't know if they would really get the concept, but Juneau was totally engrossed. When the baby jumped on the screen, she thought it was the best thing she'd ever seen. She still is talking about it. She'll say "remember when the tiny baby was like ...." and she will wiggle her body all over. super cute.

Juneau started soccer this week. "ridiculously adorable" does not even begin to describe this kid in her soccer gear...love it!
Nova isn't old enough to play just yet. She turns 4 a month too late, but Cris already has her practicing on her own. Nova actually really loves it, and i think she would've done fine playing on the team. She still says she really wants to just "run races", and she loves practicing her races during juneau's soccer practice.
Juneau was off to a great start with soccer, but today she really struggled to stay focused during practice. She was in a grumpy mood, and was really not into it. Too bad for this kid, her dad isn't really one to support the "i don't feel like it" attitude, and so she was sent back onto the field to finish her practice.
cute, or what?!!??!
On wednesday, Juneau got to pick where she wanted to eat dinner after soccer practice. She picked Culver's (right up Grandpa and Grandma Stickley's alley!), and wanted to eat the fish dinner and a mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich...
and of course, i have to mention the fact that i am now a whole year older :) I welcomed 33 years old with a wonderful day all around. I arrived to work to my office being decorated, and the nurses had gotten me an adorable Edible Arrangement. mmmm..... Cris picked me up and took me to a tasty sushi lunch (he opted for the Chicken Teriyaki option over sushi, in case anyone was wondering), and then after work the girls were super excited for me to get home, where i had my birthday present and balloons waiting.
i had asked cris for a Juicer for my birthday, and after about 5 minutes of straight laughing and guarantees that it would promptly end up in my "appliance graveyard", he agreed to at least check them out. and, of course, that sweet husband of mine had a fancy juicer waiting for me. i must say, i am totally hooked. Cousin Tim (the one guilty of planting the juicer idea in my mind) and I will have to get together and talk juice one of these days.
I also got the most amazing birthday package from Mammaw, Grandpa, and Grandma Stickley! Full of ADORABLE clothes (which are a perfect fit by the way!) and ideal for a mama with a growing tummy!!! thank you thank you for the thoughtful gifts! I very rarely have time to go shopping for myself, and it was such a treat to get some perfect new things to wear....and SUPER comfortable too!!! Here I am modeling one of my new outfits, along with Baby Stickley's First Gift!!! How exciting to get teeny tiny little baby shoes. Certainly makes our new addition seem even more like a reality!
