The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

32 weeks, and doing awesome!!!!

Today we got a great glimpse at little Jude as he continues to grow and develop.  I think he is working hard to get some super chubby cheeks before he makes his grand entrance! Even as an OB/GYN i am amazed every time the fancy ultrasound techs start taking a peak into Jude's world, and we can see perfect views of his cute little face!!!

Nova entertained herself in the waiting room by reading a parenting magazine, and coming up with various motherly coos, oohs, and ahhs over the cute babies in the magazine. every once in a would throw in a comment like "that's just so precious" in regards to a random photo of an anonymous infant.

Last month's ultrasound had us getting a little nervous, as Jude's head has been consistently measuring pretty gigantic (>90%), but his abdomen started to lag in growth (dropped from 80% to 30%).  There was some concern that he may not be getting enough blood flow due to my  hypertension, and at the same time this was going on, my blood pressure was getting out of control.  Since restarting some blood pressure meds 3 weeks ago, things have significantly improved. My blood pressures are great (or at least they are great for me!), and Jude's growth is staying very consistent. His head is still....ahem....enormous (97.7% today!) but his abdomen has maintained in the 30% range, which is fine. I guess he just needs plenty of room for his big giant brain :)  He weighs over 4 pounds now!!  I feel much better about his overall well-being (and mine!), and things are going just great.
