It seems entirely impossible that this tiny little girl...
...has turned into this spunky 5 year old young lady.
Juneau has been dying for this day to come for several weeks...she has wanted SOOOO bad to actually be 5 years old!
It turned out to be a perfect day for a birthday since it was also "Aloha Day" at school which meant the girls were allowed to wear these awesome Aloha dresses in place of their normal school uniforms.
Juneau was thrilled to take goodies bags with pencils and erasers for all of her classmates and by the end of the day when we picked her up she was wearing a very cool construction paper birthday crown.
We had made plans for Friday night fireworks with a birthday theme so after school we headed into town to make preparations which meant a stop at Costco to let Juneau pick out a birthday cake to take to Magic Island to share with the Friday night fireworks gang. After picking out her cake, while we were waiting at the snack bar for our pizza, Juneau exclaimed "This is the best birthday ever!"
Juneau had a great time celebrating with her friends while running around the park. The herd of children had grown to 7 of them running around...ALL GIRLS. Poor Jude is seriously outnumbered in this group.
Despite her best efforts to stay up and see the present she knew was waiting at home, Juneau fell asleep on in the car and will have to wait until tomorrow. But she still had a great 5th birthday and that is even without yet having her official birthday party which will take place next Sunday at the indoor bounce house facility at the mall. She really can't wait for that!!
So, we now officially have a 5 year old. What an amazing kid we have...we are incredibly blessed...We love you June Bug!!
