Wrapping up an awesome week

After an awesome week in seattle, we are back in colorado, sitting on the couch, watching some TV, and working on our computers. I am definately not ready to go in for a 12 hour shift tomorrow, but hopefully it will be a great day, and lots of adorable little babies will be born. 

Anyway, i have the pictures from our last couple of days in seattle to post.

We celebrated Nova's 4th Birthday, and Secily's 5th birthday, with an amazing High Tea at the Queen Mary tea room.  It was fancy fancy indeed.  The girls (even the grown up girls!) loved it.

 Cris was up for whatever crazy activiites I had planned, but he did have *one* thing on his to-do list.  He really wanted to visit Viretta Park, where one of his all time favorite musicians used to spend a lot of time. This is the very bench Kurt Cobain used to sit on. It has turned into a small memorial over the years since his death.

 The park was actually incredibly beautiful, simple, and serene.  We all enjoyed visiting, and it was definately worth the stop.

 annnnnddd.....this was one of the stops on the day of our 7th anniversary.....the Gum Wall!!! The Alfords watched the girls for the evening, and Cris and I wandered around in Seattle. It was totally fun to spend the evening exploring, and i PROMISE that even though it really REALLY looks like Cris' tongue is actually touching this disgusting wall, it was at least 4 inches away (although he says he would have licked it for 5 bucks).  The wall was actually Juneau's total favorite thing in Seattle. During the trip she was introduced to 2 new obsessions....The Gum Wall, and Zombies (randomly). she is now obsessed with Zombies.  weird kid. :)

 The rest of the gang left on Friday morning, leaving us a day in Seattle to explore on our own. We decided to spend the day at the Experience Music Project museum, to check out the Nirvana exhibit.  This is nova's first time listening to Nirvana, and she LOVED it!!!!! she kept asking for more, and was totally rocking out to the music.

 The Music Museum had a super cool Sound Lab, where you could try out different instruments (in sound proof studio rooms - THANK GOODNESS!!!).

 Juneau's second favorite activity was the International Fountain

 The cold/windy 50 degree weather (ok, ok, MAYBE it was 60...very cold nonetheless) did not deter her from running right into the icy fountain. this kid LOVES a good time!

 After the music museum, and the fountain, we couldn't keep the girls awake on the train back to the hotel....

 We got into colorado late saturday night, and spent the morning unpacking and getting *sort of* organized.  This afternoon we headed to the park to visit with some friends from our small group, and celebrate baby Haileigh's first birthday. 
We were SUPER excited to see our friends Riley, Morgan, and Timmy from our small group!

 Haileigh had missed her nap, and was just a tiny bit cranky, but nothing a little bit of icing from her birthday cupcake couldn't fix!

We've got a busy week ahead, long hours at work for me, and lots of organizing and changing light bulbs, and fixing broken thins around the house for Cris. AND we start T-ball this week.  I am really REALLY hoping t-ball is a whole lot less painful than soccer was!
