The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

Nova News

Things in michigan are going ok. i'm finally kind of getting settled into my rotation. I at least know where the important things in the hospital are (like the O.R., the E.R., and the cafeteria).

Over the weekend Nova, my mom and I made the long trip back to Willard for a visit. My little brother, Drew, was home for the weekend, and his band The Lexington Chapter was playing their "final" show. This is their third (or maybe 4th) final show. It was so fun to see Drewsy, and his band was great.

We also go to visit with my brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Sonya, and my adorable 1 year old neice, Secily. This was Nova's first time meeting Secily, and they were so cute! Secily even gave Nova a couple of really sweet hugs, but i'm not sure Secily was so happy about her Dad holding another baby girl. We had a great time visiting, and i just wish it could've been longer.

Cousins!

Cris' internet connection has been rather inconsistent for the last couple of days and he hasn't been able to post(or email) much. I was finally able to reach him in their hotel room by phone today. this was after at least five minutes of trying to communicate to the front desk clerk that i would like the room of Stickley, not Trickley or Fickley. We have been using our Skype webcams primarily, but with the internet not working so well we have had to resort to the good ole' fashioned telephone.

anyway i think the general message is they are having a great time in vietnam, but ready to come home! I really hope the next 3 days go smoothly!

and finally, here are some pictures of Nova enjoying Grand Rapids.
