The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

Day 50: Cuddles All Around

Posted by: Cris

For some reason, from the moment she woke up this morning, my little Nova girl just wanted to cuddle all day. She was nearly content to lay on my chest all day and watch tv or talk and play silly games. It was so cute and awesome.

It was nice to chat via text with a few people today, including "New" mom (for the 4th time) Laurie and my long time friend from Cincinnati, Lauren (who I just found out today is getting married this spring), while I was trying to verify addresses for the Christmas cards I'm finally getting around to addressing. In recent years our Christmas card list has been growing and growing and every year we seem to not get enough cards. It was nice today to realize what that meant: We have been blessed to continue adding so many dear friends to our lives year after year.

This evening, the girls stayed home with Aunt Coral and Brent while everyone else went to watch the Lake High School girls basketball game.

The girls took a break to help "wrap" presents.

Juneau and Nova both jump at any chance to cuddle with their cousins
Especially Nova:
The Nova's: Lyndsey Nova and Nova Joelle

Last night a plan had been hatched that tonight everyone could have a "campout" in the living room. So, everyone cuddled in to watch Toy Story 3.
Sleepy, sleepy little girl

Everyone snuggled in for a long winter's nap...

Even now at the end of the day, Nova is still in full cuddle mode, laying on the bean bag beside me and impeding my blogging speed by insisting on holding hands with me while she watches Toy Story and drifts off to sleep...the sweetest girl in the world!
