thank you so much to friends and family who have commented and emailed. today has been a better day.
they stopped announcing over the intercom that O neg blood donors were needed at about 12:30 a.m. (about 7.5 hours after the blast). i was hoping this meant that the soldiers had been stabilized. This morning i talked to the surgeons and found that all 5 guys had made it through the night, and had been evacuated to the next level of care. They still have a long road to recovery, and most of them will have irreversible injuries, but they are all alive.
thank you for the care, concern, and prayers for these young men.

I am so glad that they made it through the night!! They at least have a chance at recovery. Keep your chin up and stay safe over there!!
