What do you get when you take 6 kids under 6 years old and shove them in the same house on Christmas Eve?
A little bit of the following craziness:
We are so happy to be hanging out for a few days with the Good's in CHILLY Wisconsin. The kids are all thrilled to see each other and coupled with the excitement of Christmas, it is a powderkeg of kid excitement waiting to explode.A little bit of the following craziness:
Nova has been riding this motorized cycle in a continuous loop around the house. We finally had to tell her the battery was run down or else she would have worn a track in the carpet.
Nova and Finley reunited
Finley was so excited that Nova and Juneau were coming for Christmas...almost more excited than about Christmas itself.
Christmas craft time...
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" viewing party
Teamwork: "We're building the Eiffel tower"
Heading out into the cold for some marshmallow roasting over the firepit
Serious marshmallow roasting
Cutest little God-daughter EVER!
Laurie as "the big bad wolf" crawling through the window to get the little pigs:
The Good house hosting family, friends and added pets this Christmas - Brewster is not thrilled with the cold
We haven't seen Griffin since June and now at 13 months he is up running around and the funniest little boy. He's even a good sport about being out in the cold at the fire pit.
Hennie is enjoying the constant attention though his world is about to be turned upside down...there's a rumor that the Good's don't think their house is already crazy enough with 4 toddlers, a dog and a snake and that they may actually be allowing Santa to bring another dog into their world.
Finally, the kids had had enough of the cold, especially when they heard there was the chance of "Christmas Eve Presents"
I was crazy enough to offer the possibility of some wrestling around on the floor and this innocent horsey ride quickly turned from this...
to this...
and of course to this craziness:
Griffie was unfazed by the wildness.
Definitely not as innocent as she looks :) I'm sure she's just plotting her next mischievous move.
Settled down for some snacks and a Charlie Brown Christmas
Thank goodness for 2 humble little blogs that brought 2 families with so much in common together to create this little band of friends: Jackson (5), Nova (3), Juneau (4), Shane (4) and Finley (3)
...and don't forget Griffie - 13 months old!
This is just Christmas Eve presents:
Laurie helping the kids prepare treats for Santa and the Reindeer
Followed by each kid making Santa a picture and note...
It was finally off to bed and you can imagine the energy in this house and trying to get 5 excited toddlers to bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads...
We waited until they were well asleep to bring out the presents because if they had seen this pile, we would have never gotten them to bed:
It may take us until Dec. 26th to finish opening all the presents!!
