The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

It's Christmas! (again!)

posted by: Emilie (I'm giving my hard-workin' husband a blog-break tonight!)

Most of the Stickley gang (we missed you Aunt Donova!) has converged on the Matus house, and there is chaos indeed!!! We pretty much thrive on chaos, however, so it's been great!

The girls have discovered that Grandma and Grandpa have yet to say "no" to their request to read a story....and they are definately taking advantage of it!
The newest member of the Matus gang - this Bull Mastiff puppy is quickly on his way to outweighing 4/5 members of the Matus family.
"That Crazy Brent-boy" (as Nova calls her cousin) has pretty much stolen the show as the girl's favorite person in the world.  He has spent hours playing and rough-housing with them, and they are in heaven!
spending some quality "i-time" together on their ipods, ipads and iphones....it was some sort of group-play, however, so it really does count as spending time together!
even the littlest cousins were getting in on the i-time....
Mammaw, however, was entertaining the rest of the gang with some sort of game involving wrapping a scarf around Ed's ankle and attaching it to the puppy....still not too sure about that one! :)
We spent the afternoon doing the Matus-Stickley's favorite activity - Basketball!!! the girls had a scrimmage this afternoon, and we got to watch them play some serious ball.
 alllllll net....
yes, they are really, stinking adorable...fuzzy robes courtesy of Mammaw, and snowman lanterns courtesy of grandma....
 cutest ever....
Nova said "ok, ok, whole family get on the couch! we need a picture!"
ummmm.....yeahh......these two bro-sniffs (don't ask about the term bro-sniff - it's some sort of strange twin lingo) are weird....
did i mention they are weird?
Our visit with the Stickley/Matus gang has come to an end much too quickly. I wish we had 2 weeks instead of 2 days, but our tour across the midwest is calling, and we are off to more chaos with the Saccenti crew starting tomorrow (and ANXIOUS to help Tommy, Sonya, Secily, and Micah welcome Baby James in just 2 short days!!!)
