While I was cuddled into my warm blanket all night, outside my window it was snowing, snowing, snowing which meant a chilly morning shoveling 6 inches of fresh powdery snow off the driveway...why do people live where it snows?
We are prepping for the long road trip in a couple more days and hoping that all the Christmas gifts that are still scheduled to arrive make it here before we are scheduled to roll out. Come on UPS! You can do it!
Tonight after a trip to the mall for some last minute shopping, the girls helped Emilie with a cooking project. They LOOOOVE to help make a total mess out of the kitchen.
We also got a fairly big stack of Christmas card in the mail today so after the bread was in the oven, Nova set up right in front of the oven to watch the bread cook and read through the Christmas cards.
By the time she read through them, somehow we had also gotten a card from her imaginary friend "Mary" which turned out to be a good thing because Nova read it out loud to us and it said: "Merry Christmas Nova. I love your daddy; He is the best daddy".
Finally, evening snack time: Juneau of course chose 2 Hershey's Kisses
Nova on the other hand said that she wanted Ice Cream and Hot Chocolate. (She is obsessed with hot chocolate lately). She said: "I need the hot chocolate to warm me up after the ice cream makes me cold."
Ice cream and hot chocolate = a winning combination
