This semester has been so crazy busy and this week is especially so. That makes it all the more special to come home a few minutes before the girls wake up from nap and see their expression when they come upstairs and realize I'm home from work...excited smiles and big hugs.
As a result of my busyness during the day and not seeing me as much, in the evenings, even Juneau has been asking "daddy, will you come cuddle me on the couch". She may just be using this as a ploy to get to sit and watch a show but I don't care.
Playtime today involved taking these pieces of their car track...
...and separating them into every individual piece so they could pretend it was popcorn to take to the movies. This also means that at some point this week, I get to spend a half hour or more putting them all back together.
I'm sure Nova had a good pretend story going on that resulted in this:

Nova had her hat loaded up, her nalgene in one hand, pulling "Bullseye" with the other...ready to go!!
Only 2 days away from the pack arriving...I can't wait. It has been raining hard for the last 24 hours so hopefully we'll get a little drying trend before the Huskies arrive and commence to tearing up the yard.
