Hello from afghanistan! i know it's been awhile since i posted....We are back down to only 2 providers, and i have been staying pretty busy. luckily we haven't had any major casualties lately, so it has been dealing with the usual "i dropped an 80 pound dumbell on my finger", or "my friend slammed the Hummer door on my hand". I was up all night last night with one of our nurses who was rather violently ill. i ended up sleeping at the aid station so i could be there to medicate her every hour or two since she was in a lot of pain. Needless to say, i didn't get much sleep.
anyway, i am happy to announce that today my handsome and super-star husband turns 38! i am sad that i'm not there to celebrate, but i did send him some cool presents, so i can't wait to hear if he likes them.

i am not 0nly thrilled that today is cris' birthday, but it also means January is OVER!!!! january seeemed to seriously drag, and i am soooooo happy february is here. 3 months to go!
