The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

Day 163 / 34 To Go: Juneau the comedian...

Posted by: Cris

"Take a picture of our shoes" I was able to convince them to let me take a picture of their smiles after I agreed to take a picture of their shoes. After being so tired yesterday and up so late, the girls slept in this morning until...wait for it...6:30 a.m.!! Really? So, at naptime they went down quick and were out cold. I mowed the yard really quickly then when Juneau woke up after sleeping for only about an hour, I layed down beside her on the bed and we all three caught up on our missed sleep from yesterday. After nap we needed to go out to get milk (of course) and Juneau spotted the Buckeyes truck when we drove by Windward Mall so we had to stop and get malasadas.

We finished the evening with a viewing of Toy Story 2 (if you are trying to get that movie off of Netflix and can't, it's because the girls won't let me send this copy back). All tucked in on the couch for the Saturday night slumber party... Nova already out cold... One of the Toy Story book stories this week included one of the characters trying to come up with jokes to tell the rest of the toys. One of the featured jokes was something related to dinosaurs and the punchline was "an egg-a-saurus". This has led Juneau to decide she should start her own career of joke writing...which provided us this gem: "Daddy, what would you call if our dog was a dinosaur?"...I don't know Juneau, what?..."A summit tyranosaurus...HAAAAHAHAAHAAAHAAA!!!"

Obviously she gets her joke writing ability from her mom and Aunt Coral.
