The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

Day 175 / 22 To Go: Recovery day...yeah right

Posted by: Cris

When I went to bed last night, Grandma had decided she and the girls would be staying around home today and let everyone recover. So of course, when I got home today, the girls were no where to be found and a quick examination of the camera revealed that the gang had been to the beach all morning. So much for staying home and recovering.

The girls had another great trip to the beach:

The girls, especially Juneau, loved meeting a friend at the beach.

Juneau was enthralled by the paddle boarders...

Seriously couldn't take her eyes off them...

Playing going on all around her...and still watching.

Still watching...

Juneau and Nova had a great time playing with Kealii

Juneau and Kealii ran around the beach playing wild T-Rex for about an hour and having a great time.

A great day at the beach

Cookie break...

Nothing better than Oreo's with sand on them.

Back from the beach - tired girls ready for a nap after a shower.

I had packed up my computer and was preparing to leave my office at 2:00 this afternoon...I managed to actually make it into my car and head home at 4:30 (2.5 hours worth of: "hey, do you have a minute to look at something")...which meant I hit the traffic and didn't get home until after 5:00 and the girls had already gotten up from nap and drug grandma off to the park.

When they finally got home, the cooking event for the day got underway...Cookies!!!

Tonight grandma got really adventurous after dinner and decided to take the huskies out with her on her nightly jog. I warned her she might want to reconsider but away they all went and they all managed to make it back in one piece though I'm not sure how much of the time grandma might have been off her feet being dragged by 2 sled dogs!
