The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

Day 172 / 25 To Go: Action packed day with Grandma

Posted by: Cris

Sunrise on a day full of adventure...

Juneau and Nova helped Grandma make French Toast for breakfast

And apparently enjoyed eating it on the lanai while dressed as a ballerina...

The crew was out and to the beach by 8:30 where the girls played themselves into total exhaustion as evidenced by Nova taking a 3+ hour nap that she actually had to be woken up from this afternoon.

While I finished mowing the yard so they could play in their new pool tomorrow out there, the girls made dinner.
And then the moment they had been waiting for all day. Last night we bought Easter egg decorating kits (Toy Story and Princess - of course) expecting to do them a few days from now but in a move that their mommy would be proud of, they pestered grandma all day until she let them decorate eggs tonight.

Once again, Juneau's request was to do one of Grandma's favorite activities - a jigsaw puzzle. Juneau is actually getting quite good at puzzles, even of this difficulty.

After getting to spend quite a long time talking to mommy on skype, the night was capped off with Grandma story time.
If nothing else, the girls are going to sleep well from the fast-paced activity schedule Grandma has them on.
