passing time....

i have been finding lots of ways to pass time while i wait for my flight...there is a lot to do at this particular post, and i have been exploring. Yesterdays events included riding a camel and eating Basken Robbins :) so obviously life isn't too rough here!

I wanted to include in my blog a picture my Aunt Cheryl sent me of my Grandpa, Chester Davis. He was 17 years old when he joined the Navy. I love being able to include pictures like this on the blog, especially for Juneau and Nova's sake as they get older. These are a couple of pictures i took of the girls with my webcam the first day i skyped with Cris. They were sleeping, and just looked so cute and sweet all tucked into their bed.

I took this one as Juneau was waking up just a little bit and realized i was on the computer screen. She had the cutest little smile, like she was having a dream. I can't remember if i posted that a few months ago she was figuring out what dreams were, and told me that a dream was "a story in your head while you are sleeping".

the other thing i've noticed is that i think my dad would really like to be deployed :) he's one of those people that actually looks forward to Hospital food (it has been the only highlight of his hospital stays over the last year). The food is kind of like hospital food here, but actually remarkably good. yesterday we had cornish hen with some awesome side dishes. There is even a dessert bar and a "milkshake bar"! i'm sure i won't have all these amenities once i finally arrive to my final destination, but i am enjoying it all for now!
