The Stickley family adventures started in Hawaii in 2005 when Cris and Emilie were married. The real excitement began in May 2008, when Nova was born. 2 short months later, our little June-Bug joined the family from all the way in Vietnam. The next few crazy years included Emilie being deployed to Afghanistan, while Cris and the girls moved back to Hawaii, then a long year of living apart (and a lot of trips across the Pacific Ocean), while Emilie remained in Colorado to complete her Army committment, and Cris had to stay in Hawaii for his job at the University.

In the summer of 2012, little Jude joined our family, and the whole gang reunited for good in Hawaii!

Follow our adventures, as we try to keep track of life with our 3 crazy kids, while keeping our friends and family updated on the happenings here in Hawaii!

we made it to kuwait last night after a long, long trip! the flights weren't so bad since i was able to sleep for the majority of the traveling. We got in very late, and then had to unload the truck. There were about 300 people traveling, each assigned 4 bags (allowed to weigh up to 70 pounds), so needless to say, unloading 1200 seventy pound bags at 11 p.m. was not really my idea of fun! then we had to rummage through the 1200 bags to find our own, and lug them to our tents. i guess you could say i was ready to go to sleep when that time finally came!!

today i have been exploring the post here in Kuwait. The weather is actually quite nice in November....super sunny, but not too hot. The post is nice. i am in a tent with about 14 other women. there are trailers with flushing toilets and hot showers, which is great. The highlight of my day (after MUCH frustration when windows 7 wouldn't let me access the internet!) was finally getting my internet running and skyping with Cris. I truly cannot tell you how happy i was to see him on my computer screen!!! the girls were already fast asleep, but i got to chat a bit with cris. after we were done talking he took the computer into the girls' room and let me watch them sleep for a minute. they were so cute and sweet. he had to turn the light on so i could seem them and juneau kind of woke up a little and said "it's mommy! hi! i love you. night night!"

everything seems to be going smoothly. i will probably leave here in the next day or 2 and continue on to my final destination.
